PerioWise is a
periodontal probe highly recommended for its ease of readability, flexible tip
and increased patient acceptance. It received an 86% approval rating.
Description
PerioWise, "The Friendly Probe," is an
autoclavable, plastic periodontal probe with a flexible tip. Twenty-one
consultants evaluated it on over 1,500 patients.
Positive
Features
PerioWise received especially high marks for its
readability of the brightly color-coded calibrations. The color-coding improves
ease and speed of reading the probe and improves patient understanding. The
manufacturer's instructions and patient education guide were very well
received. Consultants felt the flexibility and thinness of the tip made it easy
to manipulate and more comfortable for the patient. Consultants also liked the
plastic probe for use with implant patients. More than half of the consultants
preferred PerioWise to the metal probe they were currently using,
and two-thirds said they would purchase or recommend PerioWise to
a colleague. |
